Who We Are

A legacy defined by operational excellence, industry-leading safety standards, and an unwavering commitment to supporting the United States’ energy infrastructure—one barrel at a time.

Our Story

Built on Trust, Driven by Excellence

Founded in 2004, Galena Marine Terminal Limited was established with a clear vision: to deliver premium bulk liquid storage and marine logistics services to the oil and gas sector in the United States. What began as a single tank farm facility has evolved into a strategically positioned independent petroleum terminal operator in Texas.

Headquartered in Texas — a key hub within the U.S. energy and maritime logistics network — our terminal complex is ideally situated along major shipping and distribution corridors, supporting one of the world’s most active petroleum markets. Over the past two decades, we have consistently invested in world-class infrastructure, advanced technology, and skilled personnel to deliver solutions that meet and exceed international standards.

Our clientele includes international oil majors, national oil corporations, independent traders, petrochemical manufacturers, and downstream distributors — all of whom depend on Galena Marine Terminal for the secure storage, accurate measurement, and efficient handling of their valuable liquid cargoes.

Safety & Environment

Our HSSE Commitment

At Galena Marine Terminal, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) excellence is not a compliance obligation — it is the foundation upon which every decision is made. We believe that every incident is preventable, and we invest relentlessly in the systems, training, and culture that make this belief a reality.

Zero-Incident Culture Our behavioural safety programme engages every employee, contractor, and visitor in proactive hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and safety leadership at all levels of the organisation.
Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) All terminal operations are conducted within a certified Environmental Management System. Vapour recovery units, secondary containment bunding, and continuous emissions monitoring minimise our environmental footprint.
24/7 Emergency Response Our dedicated on-site fire brigade, foam-equipped response vehicles, and emergency response team are trained to NFPA and Oil & Gas UK emergency response standards, with full mutual aid agreements in place.
MARPOL & DPR Regulatory Compliance Full compliance with the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) and all Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) directives — with dedicated compliance officers and quarterly audits.
Continuous Training & Competency Assurance Mandatory competency programmes, simulator-based emergency drills, and international certification pathways ensure our workforce remains among the most highly qualified in the Nigerian terminal sector.
